George Kalantzis is a Professor of Theology and Director of The Wheaton Center for Early Christian Studies at Wheaton College. His research focuses on early Christian theology, ethics, and their contemporary relevance. He holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and has been affiliated with institutions like Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Areas of expertise include Patristics, Christology, Trinitarian thought, and early Christian ethics. He has authored or edited over 20 books, including Caesar and the Lamb and contributed to peer-reviewed journals such as Modern Theology and Studia Patristica.
His work bridges historical theology with modern issues like refugee crises and church-state relations. Notable awards include the Leland Ryken Teaching Award and Fellow status with the Royal Historical Society. He serves on boards of organizations like the Center for Women in Leadership and the International Association for Refugees.
