Kelly Greenhill

Kelly Greenhill is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Tufts University, with a secondary appointment at Tisch College for Civic Life. She concurrently serves as a Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor at SOAS (University of London) and Director of the MIT-Seminar XXI Program. Her research focuses on international security, foreign policy, and the role of information in state decision-making, including studies on migration as a weapon, coercion, and the impact of misinformation.

Education: PhD and SM (MIT), CSS (Harvard University), BA (UC Berkeley). She has held fellowships at Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and SOAS. Her work has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, MacArthur Foundation, and others.

Key publications include *Weapons of Mass Migration* (ISA Best Book 2011) and co-authored/co-edited works on global crime, coercion, and security studies. Her current research examines the influence of rumors and propaganda on international politics, titled *Fear and Present Danger*.

Awards include the ISSS Emerging Scholar Award (2018). She advises international organizations like the UN, NATO, and the World Bank, and has served on editorial boards of *Security Studies*, *HKS Misinformation Review*, and others.
