Keith Northover

Keith Northover serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Music (Historical Clarinets) at the Historical Performance Institute within Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, with prior teaching appointments at the University of Florida, St. Vincent de Paul School, and the College of Central Florida.

His academic background includes:

Northover's research centers on historical performance practices, specializing in auxiliary clarinets, Mozart's Basset Horn repertoire, low clarinets in opera/film scoring, and authentic historical instrument usage. As an educator, he mentors students achieving success in solo/ensemble competitions, regional all-state ensembles, and admissions to prestigious programs including Indiana University and the University of Florida.

He co-founded the Novacane Clarinet Quartet and Æther Reed Quintet, with international performance credits at Clarinetfest (Belgium/Denver/Reno), NACWPI Conference (Vancouver), and American Reed Summit (South Carolina), plus chamber tours across Europe and Brazil alongside Midwest/Southern orchestral engagements.
