Keith Magee

Reverend Professor Keith Magee Th.D., FRHistS, FRSA is a Senior Fellow and Visiting Professor of Practice in Cultural Justice at University College London (UCL) Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) and Senior Fellow in Culture and Justice at its Centre on US Politics (CUSP), along with being Chair and Professor of Practice in Social Justice at Newcastle Law School, Newcastle University.

His research and teaching interests include social justice, civil rights, voting rights, and the intersection of US race, religion, and politics. Magee has a professional career spanning over three decades in public theology, public policy, and political affairs.

Magee's publications demonstrate significant trends across political science, theology, and social justice, with particular focus on race relations, religious politics, and civil rights. His work bridges academic scholarship with practical applications in social justice initiatives.

Magee has secured over $15 million to develop programs supporting dyslexic students and has served in numerous leadership roles including Director of The Social Justice Institute. His work integrates public policy and public theology to impact public life. He serves on multiple boards including The Guardian Foundation, The Gallery of Living History, and Facing History and Ourselves.

Magee leads initiatives including the co-creation of the Multicultural Initiative at Yale University Center for Dyslexia and Creativity and helped launch the Urban Teachers Residency Program at Saint Joseph's University focused on teaching reading to urban students with dyslexia.
