Dr. Keith Grant is an Associate Professor of History at Crandall University since 2017. He holds a PhD from the University of New Brunswick, ThM and MDiv from Regent College, and a BA from Crandall University. His research focuses on the history of emotions, book culture, and Atlantic Canadian networks in the Enlightenment era. He teaches courses on early North American history, Atlantic Canada, and historical methodology, including a signature course on the history of coffee, tea, and chocolate. Currently, he investigates Black Nova Scotian leader Richard Preston, Loyalist Jacob Bailey, and early Nova Scotia's intellectual exchanges.

His work has been funded by SSHRC, Nova Scotia Museum, and the Omohundro Institute. He co-edits the Borealia: Early Canadian History website. Awards include the ASPP Grant for his 2022 book and the Steeves Teaching Award.
Teaching and Research Interests: Merging scholarly rigor with public engagement, Dr. Grant emphasizes accessible historical narratives. His courses blend traditional topics with innovative themes like food history to contextualize broader historical trends.
