Shirley Tillotson is the Inglis Professor of History at Dalhousie University, retired from undergraduate teaching but active in graduate studies. She holds a BIS from Waterloo and MA/PhD from Queen’s University. Her research focuses on Canadian history, taxation, gender, and social movements, particularly in Nova Scotia. She has authored three books, including Give and Take, which won major awards.
