Keith Duncan serves as Professor of Accounting and Finance at Bond Business School, Bond University, where he also directs research initiatives through the Centre for Data Analytics. His international academic career spans teaching and research positions across Australia, USA (including visiting professorships at University of Southern California and Northeastern University), New Zealand, South Africa, and throughout East Asia. As a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant and CPA, he bridges academic rigor with practical industry experience through consulting engagements with organizations including SEQEB, Sheraton, Stock Exchange, Barclays Bank, and the Zealand Securities Commission.
Professor Duncan's educational background includes a PhD in Accountancy from Bond University (1993), with his doctoral work focusing on Attributes of Dominant Control: Theoretical Model and Empirical Tests. His academic journey reflects deep engagement with accounting education principles and curriculum development across global contexts.
His research program centers on corporate governance mechanisms and their impact on financial reporting quality, with particular expertise in family business governance, audit committee effectiveness, and ESG reporting frameworks.
