Keekyoung Kim serves as an Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, holding dual appointments in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. His academic profile reflects a strong interdisciplinary background bridging mechanical engineering with biomedical applications, actively contributing to research and teaching within the university community.

His work in BioMEMS, biosensors, cell mechanics, and biomaterials drives innovation in point-of-care devices and tissue engineering solutions with emphasis on stem cell applications. These activities align with university strategic initiatives: Engineering Solutions for Health (2015-2021), Infections/Inflammations/Chronic Diseases (2015-2021), and One Health (2020-2025). He teaches Manufacturing & Production Processes (ENMF 417) and Design and Analysis of Experiments (BMEN 619).
