Katy Lonergan

Katy Lonergan, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and a member of the Division of Cardiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general cardiology, noninvasive cardiac imaging, and women's cardiac health, particularly in pregnant women.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California; Medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Her research and clinical work focus on cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. She has contributed to publications in the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease.

• Professional Affiliations: Board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology; member of the UT Southwestern cardiology team at the Clinical Center in Park Cities.

Prior to joining UT Southwestern, she practiced clinical cardiology at Mills-Peninsula Hospital and the University of California, San Francisco.
