Katrina Heath is a Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc in Forensic Psychology at Buckinghamshire New University (BNU), where she has been since 2011. She transitioned from a PGDip Psychology student to a full-time faculty member in 2022. Her roles include supporting the MSc Applied Forensic Psychology program and delivering art therapy lectures. She also works with the Oasis Partnership providing art therapy to substance misusers and acquired brain injury clients.
Education includes a BA (Hons) in Ceramics from West Surrey College of Art and Design, followed by PGDip in Psychology (BNU) and PGDip in Forensic Psychology and Crime (Coventry University). Her research focuses on Art Therapy in substance misuse treatment, stalking victimology, and cyberstalking offenders, conducted through her PhD candidacy at BNU in collaboration with Aurora New Dawn.
Her expertise spans forensic psychology applications, with notable achievements including presenting original research at the Division of Forensic Psychology conference and guiding student research to national/international conferences. She contributed a book chapter on Art Therapy, reflecting her commitment to bridging psychological practice with creative interventions.
Collaborations include work with local victim charities and academic institutions, emphasizing applied research in marginalized populations. Her interdisciplinary background merges art, psychology, and criminology to address complex societal issues.
