Hewa Khalilifar is a Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Imperial College London and an MSc in Applied Neuroscience (Distinction) from King's College London, where she received two Dean's Awards. Her research explores the neurobiological underpinnings of mental health, including stress-inflammation interactions, ADHD, psychedelics, and neuroplasticity.
She maintains a private CBT practice in London and provides clinical services to a Cauda Equina charity, adapting therapy for chronic health conditions. Her academic work integrates scientific rigor with clinical practice, informed by training placements in evolutionary biology and psychological therapy.
