Dr. Katrina Clements serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Music – Woodwinds in the W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts at McNeese State University, teaching applied clarinet and saxophone. She performs with the Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra and Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, and teaches at the Minnesota Clarinet Academy and International Music Camp during summers.
Her academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts from Arizona State University, Master of Music from the University of Minnesota, and Bachelor of Music Education from the University of New Mexico. She studied under Robert Spring, Joshua Gardner, Alex Fiterstein, and Keith Lemmons.
Dr. Clements pioneers interdisciplinary collaborations through commissioning and performing new multimedia works for clarinet that integrate visual elements to deepen audience sensory experiences. As founding member of 'Vive Ensemble (clarinet-trumpet duo), she explores innovative repertoire at venues like International ClarinetFest®, Low Clarinet Festival, and College Music Society conferences.
