Katja Lohmann

Katja Lohmann is a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, working within the Department of Climate Variability and the Director's Research Group (CVR). Her research focuses on understanding climate variability in the North Atlantic, particularly the dynamics of the subpolar gyre and its interactions with the Nordic Seas.

Her fieldwork and modeling studies contribute to improving climate prediction systems through analysis of ocean-atmosphere exchanges and large-scale circulation patterns.
