Professor Katie Robb is a leading academic in behavioral science and health at the University of Glasgow's School of Health and Wellbeing. She holds a PhD in Health Psychology from UCL and has over 20 years of experience in cancer research. Her primary focus is improving cancer outcomes through behavioral interventions, particularly addressing disparities in screening access for marginalized groups such as individuals with intellectual disabilities, Muslim women, and Black communities.
- Established and leads the Cancer Behaviour Research Group
- Developed the Integrated Screening Action Model (I-SAM) to guide intervention design
- Conducts research on suicide risk factors and mental health disparities
- Expertise in public health communication strategies for cancer prevention
Her research portfolio includes over 111 publications spanning behavioral interventions, health equity, and psychosocial oncology. Notable projects include the TEMPO trial for bowel screening optimization and the PROCAN-B initiative targeting prostate cancer in Black men.
