Katie Gosser

Katie Gosser is the Yum! Assistant Professor of Franchise Management and Director of the Yum! Center for Global Franchising Excellence at the University of Louisville's College of Business. She joined the faculty in 2019 after retiring from a 35-year career at KFC/YUM! Brands.

Her research focuses on franchising, operational excellence, and organizational development within the business management field. She co-created the Franchise Management Certificate Program, an online certification offered at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and teaches undergraduate courses in the Management and Entrepreneurship Department.

She has received multiple accolades, including the Student Champion award (2022-23) and the Distinguished Achievement Award (2021-22) for excellence in teaching, service, and research. Other recognitions include the Faculty Favorite Nominee (2017-22), Faculty Service Award (2020-21), and the University Development Faculty Award (2021) for securing university funding.
