Katie Davis Rosanbalm is an Associate Research Professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy and a Core Faculty Affiliate at the Center for Child and Family Policy (2023–present). Her work bridges child clinical psychology, quantitative analysis, and public policy to advance program implementation and evaluation in early childhood systems, self-regulation development, child welfare, and trauma-sensitive schools.

Research Interests focus on:
- Child Maltreatment Prevention: Longitudinal evaluations of child welfare reform and evidence-based programs.

- Trauma-Sensitive Schools: Integration of mental health services into education systems and pandemic-era adaptations.
- Program Evaluation: Methodological rigor in early childhood initiatives and community partnerships.
Publications highlight trends in trauma-informed education, self-regulation interventions, and policy design. Her work spans 2016–2021, with recent emphasis on COVID-19 impacts on K-12 and early childhood education.
Leadership & Grants include leading projects like the NC Resilience and Learning Project (2019–2026) and ITTI Care (2025) while serving on national and state task forces. She has taught courses such as Community-Based Research on Early Childhood Policy and Multidisciplinary Approaches to Children’s Issues.
