Kathy Walsh

Kathy Walsh is a Professor of Finance and the Associate Dean (Research and Innovation) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. She previously held roles as an Associate Professor at Australian National University (ANU) and Sydney University, and served as Research Director at the Centre for International Finance and Regulation (CIFR). Her career spans over two decades with prior experience in the financial services sector and insurance industry.

Her research focuses on Chinese capital markets, Renminbi internationalization/digitization, corporate governance, and gender diversity. She analyzes the implications of China’s financial policies on global markets and explores retirement housing finance challenges in Australia.
