Kathy Burrows is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Teesside University, affiliated with the SSSHL School. She holds a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Teesside University, 2001) and multiple postgraduate certifications in leadership and systemic practice from Teesside and Northumbria Universities. From 1998 to 2022, she worked at TEWV Foundation NHS Trust. Her research focuses on fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and childhood sexual abuse, with recent work addressing clinical practices in child mental health services. She has contributed to peer-reviewed articles on FASD assessment and adult survivor mental health care. Her professional experience spans over two decades in clinical psychology, emphasizing trauma-informed approaches.
