Kathryn Thory is a Lecturer in Management in the Department of Strategy and Organisation at Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, where she has been a faculty member since 2009. She is affiliated with the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation and holds a background in work psychology and sociology.
Her research spans management training and development, gender and organisational studies, experiential learning, and reflective practice. She explores how individuals cultivate personal and professional skills for effective leadership in complex, globalised work environments, with a strong focus on psychological, social, and cultural dimensions.
The recent articles show a consistent trajectory in gender, leadership, emotional intelligence, and workplace dynamics, particularly focusing on women's experiences, disclosure practices, and training effectiveness. Her work integrates theoretical depth with practical implications for organisational development.
