Kathryn Cooper

Dr. Kathryn 'Kaatie' Cooper is an Assistant Professor in the School of Media and Journalism at Kent State University, part of the College of Communication & Information. Her research focuses on bridging gaps between scientists, journalists, and the public regarding science and environmental issues, particularly in politically contentious contexts. She investigates narrative strategies, documentaries, and communication tactics to overcome cognitive biases, promote pro-environmental behaviors, and enhance public engagement.
