Kathryn Caballero is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame and currently serves as the Director of the Federal Facilities Enforcement Office in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. She has over 20 years of environmental law experience, previously holding roles such as acting Associate Director in the Air Enforcement Division and supervisory attorney-advisor in the Office of Transportation and Air Quality. Caballero also co-chairs the DC Bar's Environment, Energy and Natural Resources (EENR) Community Steering Committee and the Energy, Environmental and Science Law Forum of the Women's Bar Association of DC.
Her educational background includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Caballero’s professional focus spans environmental law enforcement, regulatory compliance, and mentorship initiatives like the EENR Law Fellows Program, which promotes diversity in environmental law. She previously worked as a chemical engineer in the EPA’s Design for the Environment program before transitioning to legal practice.
