Dr. Katherine van Liere is Professor of History and Department Chair for Historical Studies at Calvin University. She has directed the department's internship program and co-led the Semester in Britain program with her husband Frans van Liere. A graduate of Williams College (B.A. in History of Ideas), Cambridge University (M.A. in History), and Princeton University (Ph.D. in European History), she combines academic rigor with public engagement through museum collaborations like the Grand Rapids Public Museum digitization project.
