Katherine Douglass is an Associate Professor of Educational Ministry and Practical Theology at Seattle Pacific Seminary, Seattle Pacific University. She holds a PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister in the PC(USA). Her work focuses on faith formation, rites of passage, and reconciliation within marginalized communities. She directs the Confirmation Project and the Faith Formation Project, both funded by major grants.

Research Interests: Dr. Douglass explores how families and congregations transmit faith across generations, particularly addressing issues of racism, mental health, disability, and gender/sexual dynamics. She collaborates with psychologists to study faith socialization through mixed-methods research, emphasizing reconciliation and dehumanization reduction.
