Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil is an Associate Professor of Reconciliation Studies at Seattle Pacific University’s Seattle Pacific Seminary. She holds a BA from Rutgers University (1977), MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary (1984), and DMin from Palmer Theological Seminary (2000). With over 25 years in racial, ethnic, and gender reconciliation work, she directs the Reconciliation Studies minor and teaches in the Seminary program. Her research focuses on transforming communities through faith-based reconciliation strategies.

Awards include honorary doctorates from North Park University (2008) and Eastern University (2017). Her advising focuses on mentoring students through internships and academic programs to prepare them for leadership in diverse contexts. She collaborates with the John Perkins Center to bridge academic study with grassroots reconciliation initiatives.
