Dr. Webb’s research explores the theological construct of suffering and its relationship to psychological stress, trauma, and post-traumatic growth. She examines how religious beliefs interact with mental health challenges, including the psychological and theological dimensions of anger toward God.
Her publications highlight the integration of psychological science with theological inquiry, particularly through analyses of the Book of Job, forgiveness in spiritual struggle, and the role of religious support in recovery from severe mental illness. Themes include religious stigma in psychology, faith-based coping, and theodicy in mental health contexts.
She has taught a wide range of psychology courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels and has contributed to the academic community through her leadership in undergraduate internships and her scholarship on the intersection of mental health and theology.
