Dr. Katharine Miller is an Assistant Professor of Organizational and Corporate Communication at Marquette University, affiliated with the Diederich College of Communication. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Purdue University, along with an M.A. and B.A. in Communication Studies and Corporate Communication from Marquette University. Her research explores how organizations can become more responsible through rhetorical and qualitative approaches to CSR, DEI initiatives, and employee empowerment.
Professional affiliations include the Academy of Management, Central States Communication Association, and National Communication Association. Her work focuses on organizational culture, ethical behavior, and equitable work environments. Recent interests include corporate social responsibility discourse analysis and employee sensemaking of CSR practices.
