Kate Webb serves as Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Placements Lead at Keele University's School of Pharmacy & Bioengineering since July 2023, with extensive clinical expertise as an Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner. She previously held eleven years of NHS roles at University Hospital of North Midlands including Advanced Pharmacist Practitioner in Renal Medicine and Surgical Pharmacist Team Leader, completing her MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and independent prescribing qualifications in acute pain.
Her research focuses on clinical pharmacy applications in pain management through the UKCPA Pain Group and NIHR-funded PROMPPT research project, alongside renal medicine and non-medical prescribing education. She actively develops Keele's undergraduate pharmacy placement framework to deliver 30 weeks of clinical experience per student by 2024-25, aligning with GPhC Standards and NHSe tariff requirements.
Dr. Webb holds significant leadership positions including UKCPA Finance & Governance Director (2024-present), RPS Advanced Pharmacist Competency Committee member, and Pharmacist Lead for Keele's Non-Medical Prescribing Course. Her external contributions include research proposal reviewing for Pharmacy Research UK and British Renal Association, plus abstract adjudication for UKCPA conferences.
