Kate Schwartz is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Applied Statistics program at New York University (NYU), with an affiliation at Global TIES for Children. Her work focuses on research-practice partnerships, educational program implementation, and early childhood education, particularly in resource-deprived and international contexts.
Her research spans Lebanon, Jordan, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Iraq, where she evaluates programs like Ahlan Simsim and Play to Learn, designing school-readiness curricula. Current projects include adapting remote early learning programs in Haiti and studying urban school street interventions in Albania.
Her publications highlight educational effectiveness, caregiver involvement, and school environment influences using mixed-methods and quasi-experimental designs. She also collaborates with NGOs like Publicolor to assess physical environment impacts on learning.
