Dr. Kate Barlow is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the American International College (AIC), School of Health Sciences. She holds advanced credentials including OTD, OTR/L, IECMH-E®, and FAOTA (Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association). Her expertise spans pediatric feeding, early childhood mental health, and developmental monitoring. Dr. Barlow earned her BS in Occupational Therapy from Boston University (1997) and post-professional MS/OTD degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University (2015).
Research & Advocacy: As a CDC Act Early Ambassador (2019–2024), she promoted developmental monitoring across Massachusetts, collaborating with Head Start and WIC programs. Her research focuses on pediatric feeding disorders, evidenced by grants like the 2020 Feeding Matters Grant and published studies in American Journal of Occupational Therapy. She co-founded the OT ECHO program, providing tele-mentorship to therapists globally, winning the NBCOT Innovation Award (2022).
