Courtney Taylor, OTD, MS, OTR/L is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy and Fieldwork Coordinator at the School of Health Sciences, American International College. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (2014) from AIC and a BS in Human Development (2007) from Binghamton University. Her clinical expertise includes short-term rehabilitation in skilled nursing facilities, with focus areas such as upper extremity joint replacements, stroke rehabilitation, and patient advocacy.
Research interests center on veteran affairs and generational values (Gen Z) impacting occupational therapy's future. She actively contributes to program development, including a customized wheelchair program, splinting/orthotic protocols, and interdisciplinary communication systems. Professional roles include Fieldwork Coordinator, AIC Academic Standards Committee member, and co-chair of New England Occupational Therapy Education Council's Awards Committee.
Certifications include licensure in Connecticut and Massachusetts, NBCOT registration, and CPR/AED certification. She is pursuing a post-professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (expected May 2021).
