Kate Marston is a Lecturer in Education at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences, using creative methodologies to advance gender and sexual justice in education.
Research examines how digital cultures reshape youth gender/sexual identities, employing arts-based, visual and participatory methods. Current projects include collaborations with National Museum Wales using fungal collections to reconceptualize gender/sexuality.

Recent publications investigate digital embodiment, online relationship cultures, and feminist critiques of phallogocentric power structures. Methodological innovation includes speculative fabulation and visual social media analysis.
She co-convenes Cardiff's Gender and Sexualities Research Group and the BERA Sexualities and Gender SIG. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she teaches on social sciences and education programs.
