Kate Louise Williams is a Senior Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Therapy at the University of Wales Trinity St David, within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education. She is affiliated with the Sport and Exercise Research and Innovation Group. Her expertise spans clinical assessment, injury prevention, and rehabilitation in professional sports. Williams holds a Professional Doctorate (DProf) in exploring lumbo-pelvic-hip injury reduction strategies in rugby, alongside advanced qualifications in sports therapy and higher education teaching.

Research Interests: Prevention of lumbo-pelvic-hip injuries in contact sports; identifying risk factors for prolonged sports-related concussions; efficacy of active rehabilitation protocols post-concussion. Her work integrates clinical practice with evidence-based strategies to enhance athlete safety and recovery.
Williams has over 20 years of professional experience, including a decade as Head of Rehabilitation in professional team sports and roles supporting national teams globally. She currently serves as an External Examiner at THEi Hong Kong (2020-2025). Her research outputs focus on injury prevention, performance benchmarks in rugby, and athlete health monitoring.
