Kate Gannon serves as a Clinical Fellow and Practitioner in Residence in the Health Law Clinic at Suffolk University Law School. In this capacity she supervises and mentors student attorneys as they engage in advocacy projects and represent clients in health-law disputes. Concurrently, she is a Law & Policy Consultant at MLPB (formerly Medical Legal Partnership Boston), lectures at UMass Chan Medical School and Boston University Medical School, and serves on the Steering Committee of the Children’s Health Advocacy Coalition.

Research & Practice Focus:
Kate’s work sits at the intersection of health law, public-health policy, and social-determinants-of-health advocacy. Her clinical supervision emphasizes experiential learning through legislative research, policy analysis, and direct client representation in health-insurance appeals. Her consulting practice targets the legal needs of young parents and spans immigration, housing, education, employment, and interpersonal-safety protections.

Across three core publications, Kate has explored aging-related social needs, perinatal and early-childhood systems building, and reflective practice in law and policy consulting.
