Kat Adams

Kat Adams is a Visiting Instructor at the University of Southern Mississippi, teaching core courses including KIN 309 (Athlete Development Across the Lifespan), KIN 370 (Athlete Safety Well Being & Injury Prevention), KIN 476 (Exercise Psychology), and SKN 680 (Foundations of Evidenced-Based Practice in Kinesiology & Nutrition) from her office in Joseph Greene Hall, Hattiesburg.

Her research program integrates firsthand experience as a gymnast, judge, and coach to investigate systemic safety in performance sports. Key emphases include mitigating injury risks across athlete age groups, analyzing coaching conduct within judged disciplines, and addressing cultural pressures in competitive environments.
