Karl Kutz is a Professor and Chair of Biblical Languages at Multnomah University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Hebrew and Semitic Languages with a minor in Classical Greek from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1996), and a B.S. from Multnomah Bible College (1983). His research focuses on the Septuagint, Hebrew language pedagogy, and Old Testament exegesis, particularly in Job and Isaiah. He co-authored influential Hebrew grammar textbooks and has refined Hebrew instruction methods. Karl values Multnomah’s balance of academic rigor and student mentorship. Outside academia, he practices Hwa Rang Do martial arts since 1995.
