Robert J. V. Hiebert is a Professor at Trinity Western Seminary, Trinity Western University. He specializes in Septuagint Studies, Hebrew Bible, and Bible translation. His research focuses on texts like Psalms, Genesis, and IV Maccabees, with expertise in Syrohexaplaric and Syriac Bible traditions.

Affiliations & Leadership: He serves as Joint-Editor-in-Chief of the Society of Biblical Literature Commentary on the Septuagint (SBLCS) and has held leadership roles in the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies (IOSCS), including President since 2018. He is also a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and Canadian Society of Biblical Studies.
