Karin Kroeze is a Researcher at HZ University of Applied Sciences, currently serving as Project Leader of the Energy Campus project since 2024. She holds master's degrees in Geology and Geophysics from Utrecht University. Before transitioning to education, she worked in the IT services and energy sectors (NAM and Shell), holding roles such as Project Manager in Well Engineering and Business Process Manager. Her career included international assignments across Assen, Rijswijk, London, and Brussels. In education, she contributed to international secondary schools in Antwerp by developing multidisciplinary curricula and mentoring students and teachers. The Energy Campus project under her leadership aims to advance climate-neutral solutions in Zeeland, bridging education, research, and industry collaboration.
Her expertise spans energy transition, sustainable development, and applied geosciences. She focuses on practical applications of research to address climate challenges, particularly in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The project emphasizes clean energy's impact on regional industry and fosters partnerships between academic and commercial sectors.
