Karen Mears is a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) specializing in Teach First Primary and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at University College London's Institute of Education (IOE), within the Learning & Leadership department. Her career spans over four decades in education, combining museum work, international teaching, and teacher training.

Professional Experience: Transitioned from museum roles (British Museum, V&A Museum of Childhood) to primary teaching in London schools, including subject leadership and EMA coordination.
