Karen Meanwell

Karen Meanwell is Head of the School of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University with 16 years of secondary teaching experience in PE prior to joining academia in 2009. She holds teaching qualifications and has served in multiple leadership roles including PGCE/GTP coordination.

Her research focuses on developing effective mentor training frameworks and pedagogical approaches for subject knowledge development in school settings. She teaches across BA and PGCE programs with emphasis on physical education pedagogy and professional practice.
