Karen Lambert is a Senior Lecturer of Health and Physical Education at Monash University’s Faculty of Education, based on the Peninsula campus. Her work focuses on gender, sexuality, and equity within education and sport, challenging hegemonic norms through critical pedagogies and queer theory. She holds a PhD from the University of Wollongong (2006) and has taught at institutions including the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney.
**Research Interests**: Gender and sexualities studies, queer theory, embodied pedagogies, policy enactment, and mental health resilience. Her research interrogates systemic inequalities in HPE and sport, advocating for socially just practices.
**Grants & Projects**: Key projects include enhancing equity in community sports (ARC-funded), developing inclusive curricula, and evaluating mental health programs in sport. She is a Chief Investigator on multiple国家级 research initiatives.
**Awards**: 2022 Dean’s Award for Social Impact and 2021 Vice Chancellor’s Diversity Award. Her work aligns with UN SDGs 3 (Good Health), 4 (Education), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
