Dr lisahunter (pronoun: it) serves as Senior Lecturer at Monash University's School of Curriculum Teaching & Inclusive Education, Peninsula Campus, actively advancing research in critical gender/sexuality studies, Indigenous knowledges, and embodied pedagogies. With a PhD and ORCID profile, lisahunter supervises PhD students while leading cross-sector collaborations in education, health, and sport recreation.
Research centers on deconstructing normative frameworks through queer theory, sensory methodologies, and decolonizing praxis. Key areas include intersex/trans liberation in Health & Physical Education, planetary health through bluespace connections, surfing culture as critical pedagogy, and Indigenous knowledges for social transformation. Work consistently addresses intersectional exclusion in sport/education systems while innovating multimodal dissemination.
Analysis of 92 research outputs reveals intensifying focus on Indigenous sovereignty, intersex inclusion, and queer methodologies since 2020, with 15 recent publications demonstrating methodological innovation through cyborg theory, autoethnopoetics, and sensory ethnography.
