Dr. Karen Evans is a Lecturer at the School of Education, University of West Florida, specializing in Social Studies Education and spiritual education. She joined UWF in 2011 after a 24-year tenure as Minister of Spiritual Formation at First United Methodist Church in Pensacola.
- Doctor of Ministry from Drew University
- Master’s in Religious Education from Duke University
- B.A. in Christian Education, Psychology, and Sociology from Huntingdon College
Her research interests span Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, and integrating spiritual formation into educational frameworks. She supervises secondary practicum students and teaches online/blended courses.
