Karen Brenner

Karen Brenner is a Clinical Professor of Business and Executive Director of Law & Business Initiatives at New York University's Stern School of Business. She joined NYU in 2007 as an Adjunct Associate Professor, advancing to her current roles by 2012. Her research focuses on corporate governance, professional ethics, leadership, and crisis management. She holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an M.A. in Ethics and Leadership from NYU's Gallatin School.

Professor Brenner teaches courses such as Professional Responsibility in Law and Business and Corporate Governance in Law and Business, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to ethics and legal compliance. Her work bridges business and legal disciplines, with special attention to corporate turnarounds and leadership during crises.

Previously, she served as CEO and board member of multiple public and private companies across industries including healthcare, finance, and consumer products.
