Kapetis Chrysostomos

Kapetis Chrysostomos is a Lecturer in the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), affiliated with the School of Information Sciences and Technology. He specializes in supporting teaching for courses such as "Analysis and Design of Information Systems" and "Databases." His professional career includes over a decade managing the IT department of AUEB's Library, where he modernized bibliographic catalog systems and designed the integrated information system now serving the academic community. He has also held roles as Deputy Head of the Library and member of the Technical Advisory Council for Greece’s Ministry of Administrative Reform and E-Governance.

His expertise spans information systems design, database architecture, and library automation. He has collaborated with major institutions like the Library of the Hellenic Republic Presidency and the Konstantinos G. Karamanlis Foundation to advance automated library systems. His research emphasizes conceptual data retrieval, multilingual thesaurus applications, and web archiving strategies.
