Kritikos Emmanouil

Dr. Manolis N. Kritikos serves as Professor of Operations Research and Information Systems at the Department of Management Science and Technology, School of Business, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds concurrent leadership roles as Director of the Management Science Laboratory (MSL), Deputy President of his department, and President of AUEB's student club, while teaching undergraduate and graduate courses across multiple Greek institutions including National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and University of West Attica.

His academic foundation includes:

• B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Athens
• M.Sc. in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Athens
• Ph.D. in Computer Science and Management Science from AUEB (funded by AUEB and EDAMBA with Rotterdam Business School as host)

Research centers on combinatorial optimization, mathematical programming, and AI/ML applications for operational problems, developing algorithmic frameworks for supply chain, transportation, and production economics. His work bridges theoretical computer science with industrial performance measurement systems.

• Elsevier's Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing for Expert Systems With Applications (2017)
• Review Certificates from European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, and four additional top-tier journals

As Associate Editor for the Journal of Statistics and Management Systems, he has reviewed for over 20 journals while authoring a computer science textbook and editing Greek editions of Pearson/Manchester University Press works. His service extends to Secretary General of MASSEE (2015-2021), executive roles in the Hellenic Mathematical Society, consultancy for Greece's Ministry of Development, and oversight of 60+ government IT tenders. The Management Science Laboratory under his direction drives interdisciplinary optimization research with industry partners.
