Giannakoudakis Emmanuel

Professor Giannakoudakis Emmanuel is affiliated with the Athens University of Economics and Business as a Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Informatics, School of Information Sciences and Technology. He has taught databases, computer applications, advanced information systems, and psychometric databases since 1989 and served as Curator of the AUEB Library (1991-2009).

Research Interests span database analysis and design, information retrieval, artificial intelligence integration in databases, speech analysis and synthesis, and psychometric databases. His work bridges technical systems (e.g., British National Library automation) with interdisciplinary applications in cognitive science and psychometrics.

Scientific Contributions include over 55 journal articles, 74 conference proceedings, and 19 books, with international recognition by Springer-Verlag, Wiley, and Ellis Horwood. His collaboration with pioneers like Edsger Dijkstra and Benoit Mandelbrot highlights cross-disciplinary innovation.
