Associate Professor Kamrul Ahsan holds a position in the Department of Supply Chain and Logistics Management at RMIT University's School of Accounting, Information Systems & Supply Chain. He has held academic roles at institutions including Victoria University, Auckland University of Technology, and international visiting positions at the University of Missouri and Asian Institute of Technology. His research focuses on sustainable supply chain practices, circular economy, digital strategies, and procurement. He has contributed to policy development in areas like healthcare supply chain sustainability and project management skills.
Dr. Ahsan has received multiple awards, including RMIT's Research Excellence Recognition (2025) and Teaching Excellence (2024). He is an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Logistik dan Bisnis Internasional (Indonesia) and serves on editorial boards of journals like the International Journal of Logistics Management. His HDR supervision spans topics such as blockchain in supply chains, AI in demand planning, and circular economy strategies.
His teaching expertise includes logistics, project management, and operations strategy. He emphasizes interdisciplinary research in technology adoption, sustainability, and higher education innovation, including studies on contract cheating and micro-credentials.
