معرفی
Kalidou NDIAYE is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Veterinary Biomedicine within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying follicular development and ovulation in bovine models, with a particular emphasis on identifying genes and signaling pathways affecting ovarian function.
Education:
- B.Sc. in Natural Sciences (Dakar)
- M.Sc. in Reproduction (Université de Montréal)
- Ph.D. in Reproduction (Université de Montréal)
Research Interests: Dr. NDIAYE investigates molecular physiology of follicular development, focusing on genes like ASB9, TRIB2, and JAK3. His work integrates in vivo and in vitro models to study granulosa cell function and ovulatory processes, with applications to improving bovine fertility in dairy farming.
Grants & Collaborations:
- Lead researcher on Mechanisms affecting follicular development and ovulation in the Bovine model (CRSNG, 2024-2026)
- Co-researcher in the Réseau Québécois en Reproduction (RQR) (FRQNT, 2017-2025)
- Recipient of multiple CRSNG grants for molecular physiology studies
Student Supervision: Active in training master’s and Ph.D. students, with recent theses addressing TRIB pseudokinases, ASB9 function, and JAK3 signaling in ovarian biology.
Labs & Teams: Member of the Centre de recherche en reproduction et fertilité (CRRF), collaborating with institutions across Quebec on translational reproductive biology.
