Anthony ESTIENNE

Anthony ESTIENNE is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (Département de biomédecine vétérinaire) at Université de Montréal. His research focuses on reproductive physiology, particularly ovarian function, endocrine regulation, and the impact of environmental factors like herbicides on reproduction in animals and humans. He holds a PhD in Integrative Reproductive Physiology from the University of Tours, France, and completed postdoctoral research at Université de Montréal and INRAE, France.

Research Interests:

• Regulation of Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) and Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMPs)
• Impact of endocrine disruptors (e.g., glyphosate, mycotoxins) on reproductive systems
• Reproductive efficiency in dairy cows and poultry
• In vitro gamete production and organ culture for livestock sustainability

• Leading a project on oocyte-somatic cell dialogue in bovine folliculogenesis (2024–2030)
• Co-PI in the Réseau Québécois en Reproduction strategic initiative (2024–2031)
• Funded by CRSNG and FRQNT for studies on metabolic-reproductive interactions
