Kaitlin Mondello is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Teaching and Learning Center of the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY), holding a Ph.D. in English from The Graduate Center, CUNY (2018). She has taught at Hunter College and Guttman Community College within the CUNY system and served as a WAC Fellow for the Environmental Justice Program at John Jay College and The School of Professional Studies.
Her doctoral research examined proto-environmentalist literature, science, and philosophy in the nineteenth century, establishing foundational work for contemporary climate change and Anthropocene scholarship. Current investigations extend into interdisciplinary intersections of race, gender, and animal studies within Environmental Humanities frameworks.
Dr. Mondello has received significant recognition through competitive fellowships:

- New York Botanical Garden Humanities Institute Fellowship
- Early Research Initiative Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Research in the Service of Public Knowledge
As editor of Visible Pedagogy blog (https://vp.commons.gc.cuny.edu), she advances pedagogical innovation while contributing to the Climate Action Lab project and presenting at events like 'The Vibrating World: Soundscapes and Undersongs' (March 2017).
